Believing in the Power of Spoken Words

Scripture: Mark 11:22-23
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”

Life often presents us with challenges that feel impossible to overcome. These difficulties—whether they are financial burdens, relationship struggles, or health issues—can leave us feeling stuck and discouraged. However, the Bible reminds us that faith, even in small measures, can move mountains. Jesus emphasizes the power of speaking words with belief. Say what God says, for God’s Word is truth.

This isn’t about pretending challenges don’t exist but about choosing to trust God’s promises over the visible obstacles.

What mountain are you facing today? Whatever it may be, start speaking life over your situation. Instead of focusing on the size of the problem, focus on the greatness of God. Say to yourself, “God is working, even when I don’t see it.” In His perfect timing, those immovable mountains will shift.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that my words carry power. Help me speak words that align with Your promises and keep my faith strong, even when things are tough. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
